Enslen served TK Schools for 17 years – the first three years in a coaching position before he was hired as the Middle School Assistant Principal. From there, he moved to being the Lee Elementary Principal, then to serving as Assistant Superintendent. He completed his tenure at TK serving as the Superintendent for six years.
Board President Matt Powers said he is excited to have retired Superintendent Tom Enslen return to TK for an interim role. “Tom knows the district and community really well. He has worked with many of the administrative team. All of this knowledge base will set Mr. Enslen up for a smooth transition and help to maintain the calm stability of our district.”
The TK Board of Education has also approved a contract with Michigan Leadership Institute (MLI) to conduct the superintendent search. The board has worked with MLI with previous superintendent searches. More information about the search process will be communicated with the community as it progresses.
