The homecoming parade will begin at 5 p.m. starting from Lee Elementary School and traveling on Main Street to Bender Road and ending at the high school south parking lot near Page Elementary. Tailgate festivities include games and food and will take place immediately after the parade. Pre-game festivities will end promptly at 6:15 p.m. so everyone can be part of the homecoming court introduction in the stadium.
Because of the earlier court introduction, gates for the game will open at 5:30 p.m. after the parade.
Grand Marshals for this year’s homecoming parade are Dan and Shelly Erb. Dan is a former TK coach, and Shelly taught first grade for many years. Both were very involved in the schools and always going above and beyond to help provide what was best for TK students. The “Above and Beyond” award named in honor of Shelly Erb, is awarded to an outstanding teacher who goes above and beyond for students each year.
The Erb’s will lead the parade as the grand marshals and be honored before the introduction of the homecoming court.
This year’s homecoming theme is “A Day in Rio.”
The football game starts at 7 p.m. with the TK Trojans taking on the Bengals of Ottawa Hills.
