I am Miranda Baranek and I have been teaching at Thornapple Kellogg Schools for 16 years.  Most of those years have been in Early Childhood Special Education.  I have also taught part time doing resource room in kindergarten, first, third and eighth grade while still teaching ECSE.  I did teach one year of general education second grade. My heart and soul truly lies in Preschool.  

I grew up in Manistee Michigan, where I attended Manistee Public schools.  After High school, I went to West Shore Community college and earned my Associates Degree.  I then moved to Grand Rapids and went to Grand Valley State university where I got my Special Education Teaching degree.  

I am happily married to my husband who is also from Manistee, Adam.  Together we have 3 children: Ellie, Bryson and Lainey who all attend TK schools.  They keep me extremely busy with all their activities outside of school.
